Never give up.
I tell my students to never give up. Keep on painting even if your first wash looks like a disaster. It's easy to say but harder to do, today was a practice in perseverance.
I had a plan but it didn't really work the way I wanted. I kept on painting although I didn't like the outcome. Walked away from the painting , ate lunch. Painted again. Took short breaks when I was in doubt, started to paint again. I saw everything come together. I ended up with a painting that I really like. Today's lesson is ; never give up.
